I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
