Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company remains determined to attract subscribers with strong games on its flagship service.
A pair of titles you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — which makes them ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
